Overview of Stainless Steel Stub End
A stainless steel stub end is a type of fitting. It pairs with a lap joint flange to create a flanged connection in piping systems. It has a short pipe section. One end is flared or machined to fit the lap joint flange. The other end is ready for welding to the pipe.
Stainless Steel Stub End Mill Test Certificate
Stainless steel stub ends are typically made from stainless steel, like grades 304, 316L, and 904L. They can also be made from nickel alloys, such as Inconel 625, Inconel 600, Monel 400, and C276. These materials provide great resistance to rust, corrosion, and high temperatures.
Manufacturing Processing of SS Fittings
- Material Selection: High-quality stainless steel is chosen based on application requirements.
- Forming: The caps are formed using methods like stamping, deep drawing, or spinning to achieve the desired shape (domed, flat, etc.).
- Machining: For threaded caps, threads are cut or machined into the fitting.
- Welding: For socket weld or butt weld caps, workers perform welding to ensure a secure and leak-proof seal.
- Surface Finishing: Caps are either polished, brushed, or passivated. This helps prevent corrosion and meets hygiene standards.
- Quality Inspection: We perform detailed tests. This includes checking dimensions, doing visual inspections, and conducting pressure tests. These steps make sure the caps meet industry standards.
