In recent years, global nuclear power has developed rapidly, and nuclear power equipment in use continues to operate safely and stably. The annual accumulative power generation has increased. After the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant disaster, South Korea attached great importance to nuclear safety. The treatment method of high-level radioactive waste has become an important issue to be solved urgently in the utilization of nuclear power, and it is also a key factor related to sustainable nuclear power generation-stainless steel pipe. Currently recognized as the most reasonable way to dispose of radioactive waste worldwide is to conduct geological treatment of solidified radioactive waste obtained after solidification, in order to achieve long-term and stable separation of high-level radioactive waste from the human living environment. Vitrification of high-level radioactive waste is a treatment method developed earlier, and it has been used in practical engineering for more than 30 years, and the technology is relatively mature. It is widely used in France, Britain, the United States, Japan and other developed countries. Our country is still in the stage of experimental research, and the storage tank is made of 310S austenitic inox tubing. During the actual welding process of the tank, it was found that the grains in the coarse-grained zone of the welding heat-affected zone (CGHAZ) were severely rough. This leads to a decrease in the impact toughness of the austenitic stainless steel CGHAZ, a decrease in the crack propagation energy, and an increase in the brittle transition temperature. Stress concentration may also occur, especially when the grain size is uneven, which can easily limit the use and application of austenitic stainless steel.

At present, in practical industrial applications, there are mainly three methods to suppress the particle growth in the heat-affected zone of the weld. First adjust the welding process, that is, reduce the welding current and increase the welding speed to reduce the grains in the welding heat-affected zone, but this method greatly reduces the welding quality and efficiency. The second is phase transformation, which involves superheating so that the heat of welding affects the wound, transforming it into a phase with relatively smaller particle sizes. Since 310S austenitic stainless steel is completely austenitic from room temperature to solid phase without phase transformation, the structure cannot be adjusted by phase transformation. Third, alloying elements are added to the base metal to precipitate second-phase particles and fine particles at the interface to fix the grain boundaries. Therefore, it hinders the movement of grain boundaries. This method has strong applicability and obvious inhibitory effect. 310S austenitic inox tubing is a high chromium nickel fully austenitic stainless steel containing 25% Cr and up to 20% Ni to maintain corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
